Hello WCAR Members -

Wow, what a crazy few weeks we’ve had between all of the Spruce Meadows trials and an exciting World Cup Finals.  Congratulations to all of you potential Spruce team members and World Cup riders!  We are so proud of all of our West Coast Riders that competed at the World Cup Finals this year, it was challenging to say the least.

We are nearing the last two trials for spots on the 2007 Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations teams.  At this point it looks like these last two trials will be the deciding factor for most of you.  It’s anyone’s game so good luck to everyone!

ENTER: Please remember the entries for Spruce Meadows close THIS FRIDAY April 27th.  Note the following:

  • You must enter even if you aren’t certain you’ll make the team (or risk paying a high post entry fee or not getting in)
  • You can fax your entries
  • Please read the rules carefully
  • You must nominate your horse for the division you wish to compete in

SCORES: Check your scores online. We are tabulating scores on 80 applicants so we appreciate you checking our results. Remember that the final decision is always the judge’s cards.

We will try to have the scores and teams in place as soon as possible following the final trial at Ranch & Coast. It’s important that if you make a team but for some reason are unable to attend Spruce Meadows let us know ASAP.

SPONSORED GOODIES: We are currently looking for sponsors for WCAR wish list.  Thank you to the corporate sponsors already offering great items. 

Allon generously donated their beautiful hunt coats at cost this year.  They will include the WCAR logo.  Important note: If you are currently one of the top SIX in your division - please visit Allon at the red J-2 trailer during Del Mar or Ranch & Coast so they can record your hunt coat size. 

A big thanks to Rebecca Lewis who is sponsoring the 1.10m team hunt coats.  We are looking for sponsors for the 1.20m, 1.30m and 1.40m teams.  Please let us know if you are interested ASAP.

Ayora Saddlery is also extremely generous in their support of WCAR. They are supplying fabulous polo shirts for all team members, which will come in WCAR colors as well as list all of the generous sponsors.  They will be offering tremendous discounts on some of their wonderful products, including custom boots, jackets and more!  List of specials will be given to each team member.

IPPOS International has a new line of awesome soft luggage and is donating the show duffle at cost to each team member.  These great bags will be in WCAR colors as well as embroidered by Thread Needle.  Offered to us at a great price, we are hoping for a duffle bag sponsor as well.  Please let us know if you need additional information.
