The Spruce Report:
A glowing letter from our fabulous Spruce organizer TAMMY CHIPKO
:

Dear WCAR Members and friends,

Congratulations to all of the West Coast Active Prix de Nations team members!

The 1.10 Team took 2nd place after numerous clean rounds which led to a jump off.  They were fast and careful!  This was a terrific team of riders and wonderful horses.
Chef:  Susan Artes
Team:
Dylan Kornbluth, Jazmiro
Allison Van Sickle, Amazing Grace
Nick Wright, Iberia
Brittney Allyn, Angelo

The 1.20 Team again took a close 2nd place! This was a tough division and the West Coast Active Riders team was superb!
Chef:  Will Simpson
Team:
Allison Van Sickle, Blue Bayou
Tiffany Sullivan, Arete
Alison Locke, Holiday
Haley Roberson, Carino

The 1.30 Team came in a very respectable 6th after facing a very difficult course.
Chef:  Hap Hansen
Team:
Elizabeth Easton, Cetro Z
Tiffany Sullivan, No,Sa
Karl Cook, Utopia
Bliss Heers, Fortissimo Bleu

The 1.40 Team took over the 3rd place position.  This team was great.  They stayed strong all the way through a long evening with a tough track and even tougher competition. I think the Blow horn helped!
Chef:  Joie Gatlin
Team:
Megan Edrick, Kandel
Stefanie Saperstein, Alida
Bliss Heers, Prinzess 315
Karl Cook, NZ Madison

I cannot congratulate everyone enough! Not only was each team successful but the turn out, the team spirit, and the genuine horsemanship was truly something to be proud of. The best part about the whole event was the WCAR camaraderie – it was our day. Everyone was there to ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ over every round throughout the entire day. TEAM SPIRIT at its finest! We had a fantastic group of riders, Chefs, trainers, parents, friends, supporters, and, cheerleaders. From the cheers to the U.S. Flags, and of course our most favorite - the blow horn - it was a day to remember. Thank you so much to everyone who participated, volunteered, cheered, and was just all around helpful. I could not have done it without you!  And a special hats off to all of the incredible Chefs who were so very supportive. I would also like to thank Kathy Hobstetter for all of her help, support, enthusiasm, and wonderful photography! We will have great pictures and memories thanks to her!

Congratulations WCAR Prix de Nations Team members 2006!
