This is an informational email that is directed to the applicants for the WCAR Spruce Meadows Team and will give you information that you need to know. We are also sending it out as a newsletter to the WCAR mailing list.
 
 PLEASE read it throughly and if you have any questions, call me right away for clarification.714/797-1404. Entries are due to Canada soon and I would like to make sure everyone gets the information.
 
 DEL MAR
 The Del Mar Trials were not completly listed in their prize book so here is the 'official' list for that show:
 1.10 - FRIDAY Classes 208/211 AND Sunday Classes 227/228 $1,500 Clasics for Childrens and Amateur Adults
 1.30 - FRIDAY Class 214 AND Sunday Class 226 $2,500 Jr/AO Classic
 1.40 - FRIDAY Class 217 AND Sunday Class 218 $25,000 Jr/AO Grand Prix
 
 RANCH AND COAST
It has come to our attention that there are school placement tests that Friday and some riders cannot miss those but want to do the qualifer. So here is a choice for each of you:

ALL of the Trials are listed to start on Friday HOWEVER each of you (IF you are not showing on Friday) may chose to use the Saturday class, at your fence height, as the first Qualifier for that show. That does not mean you can show both days and then make a choice which one you want to count, it is only For those NOT SHOWING AT ALL on Friday, the Saturday class can be an option. The management has agreed to have the courses ALMOST the same but there may be a bit of difference so I am sending the information now.
 
 IF you want to do the Saturday class, you must contact me by email no later than Sunday night of Del Mar, May 4th and declare what you wish to do. If I do not hear from you, I will assume that you have chosen to stay with the Friday class. When you email me please ask for an email back to confirm.

 
 SPRUCE ENTRIES  DUE THIS FRIDAY, NO EXCEPTIONS-they sell out
 Yes it is before we name the Teams but they do it this way: Send in your entry and if you don't make the Team OR you can't go you can get a refund of everything but the $50 processing fee. DO NOT expect them to wait for your entry, they won't!
 Go to: www.sprucemeadows.com and follow these directions:
 1. click on Tournament Information in the bar.
 2. Click on Skyliner in the list of shows
 3. Click on Competitor Info part way down the left side
 4. Click on Interactive Entry Form...you can type in all your information on that page
 5. Print BOTH parts and fax it to 403/974-4270
 6. Look at the other choices. Stabling list, someone needs to fill that out and send it in also. Please be sure it is filled out.
 7. PLEASE read the prize book completely, some of the Canadian rules are a bit different than ours, be sure you are informed.
 7. If you are confused call 403/974-4200 and they can help. HOWEVER, don't expect them to take a late entry, be on time.

 HOTELS.....
 Calgary Stampede is also in town at that time so be sure to make reservations right away as most place are either full or filling up. The Windgate, Carriage Inn have rooms available but do that TODAY!! If they are full, ask them for a referral.
