Contribute to the Nissen Family Fund
WCAR has earmarked the entire Golf Cart Raffle fundraiser to the Nissen Family Fund. So buy your raffle tickets at Ranch & Coast in memory of our good friend, Dr. Nissen. The ticket purchase is tax deductible and the money raised will help the family, especially Twinkie, with expenses. He spent decades taking care of us, we are honored to take care of his loved ones. Please join us in doing so with your raffle ticket contribution. If you want to add additional funds to your raffle purchase, those will also go to the
Nissen Family Fund.
A perpetual trophy in Dr. Nissen’s name will be awarded to the winner of the $1,000 Amateur Owner Hunter Classic at Ranch & Coast.
| Party Like a ROCK STAR They are doing it again – hosting the party of the year plus donating the money raised to both WCAR and the Child Need Foundation. Last year this party raised enough money to provide over 100 free cleft palate surgeries to children in need. Let’s double it! Final Trials for Spruce Teams - Important notes below
The Friday, Saturday and Sunday trials at Ranch & Coast will determine the WCAR Spruce Teams. If you haven’t seen the special ruling regarding the option to choose the Friday OR Saturday class (but not both) as a trial please click here for details.
You must declare your choice by Sunday, May 4th.
Also please check the rules regarding a tie-breaker, as the Sunday trial, considered Trial #8, is also the tie-breaker if one is needed. Please don’t assume if you have a perfect four clean rounds going into Sunday that you are automatically on the team.
And finally remember that entries for Spruce Meadows are now past due. If you have not entered you need to take care of getting that handled immediately, as they will sell out and won’t make exceptions.
After the final trial, WCAR will award sashes to the winning team members for a victory gallop. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations to Rich & Will
Both of these West Coast boys are representing the US beautifully – Rich was second to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum in the World Cup and Will started his European Tour with the USET with a win in the speed class in Germany. Well done! We wish Will continued good luck in his Olympic pursuits. And we congratulate Rich on bringing home top honors in a very competitive field.
